The Hidden Host is a semi-organized coalition of allied military resistance movements working to overtake the Woodland. They establish cells and build forts, scoring victory points when cells occupy clearings that match their forts—reflecting their imperfect coordination. Through trusted envoys, they navigate internal and local diplomacy to provide tactical advantages to their small but determined forces. With adaptability and subterfuge, the Hidden Host steadily expands its influence and outmaneuvers its foes.
The Hidden Host are a redesigned version of the Black Guard that have been extensively balanced against all factions including those in the Homeland Expansion. They are a strong interloper faction, which means that while they are not strictly militant they fill the function of a secondary militant faction in games. The Hidden Host are great at helping police an aggressive militant faction like the Warlord or GoW, and slowing down racing insurgent factions.
